Title - Stalker
Genre - Psychological Thriller
Storyline - Every day a man is out in the streets placing flyers up searching for his missing daughter. As he places the final flyer he notices a wallet fall onto the floor out of someones pocket. As he tries to follow him to catch up the man disappears so then he opens up the wallet to find out information to return the wallet but as he opens the wallet he finds a picture of his daughter with an address placed behind the picture. Finding the address, he walks into the house to find pictures of his family all around the house (dragging the pictures off the wall) searching to see if his daughter was here all along he comes across a locked door with a room that looks very similar to his daughters room but he then hears the front door open. He quickly hides under the bed as he hears foot steps come up the stairs (point of view shot under bed) The guy comes into the room lays on the bed and falls asleep on the bed which he is under. He gets out from under the bed and runs to the front door but it is locked but out of some strange theory he tries his own house key which works to open the door stood in shock and confusion.
This idea was too complex for a short story five minute film so therefore we had to adjust/simplify this to be able to be able to allow the audience to understand the film.
Adjusted Storyline
Title - Unhinged
Story opens with a man sat on his couch drinking in the middle of the day (cans and bottles all over the floor) he finishes a can and throws it across the room then grabs some posters by the side and throws a back pack over his shoulder and cuts to a shot of him stumbling around drunk trying to puts up missing posters for his daughter who passed away. (John has gone crazy and all his pain is affecting him with hallucinations) As john stumbles across his last poster he here's a little girls laugh then catches a glimpse of a girl run towards a house. Thinking its his daughter he finds his way to a house ( his house ) follows her upstairs to his daughters room where he opens the door to see himself arguing with his daughter where he yells 'get out' (this is the night his daughter died) As he realises he's hallucinated he makes his way back towards the sofa he first sat on where he then grabs some pills empties them into his mouth killing himself ( ends where the film started. )
